Research tells us that successful, efficient organisations are not created overnight, nor are they successful by accident.  It also indicates that the most successful organisations understand the importance of managing both the ‘hard wiring’ issues – such as strategy, systems and processes – as well as the ‘softer’ people issues – such as skills, behaviours and leadership style – as it is the ‘softer’ issues which help to create the culture that will enable the ‘hard wiring’ to operate more effectively.

To achieve higher performance, or respond to significant financial pressures, both private and public sector organisations can find themselves in a cycle of never-ending transformation programmes, frequently envisioned by the few and then thrust on the many. This can lead to change initiatives which simply reduce staff numbers, or change structures and procedures, while ignoring the softer change issues associated with new ways of working, behaviours, leadership style and culture.

To help organisations meet these challenges we are developing a range of learning programmes and working towards accreditation with the Institute for Continuous Improvement in Public Services (ICiPS). These programmes are targeted at executive, management and practitioner level. Each one is based around the Systems Thinking, Lean and Six Sigma models, and can be tailored according to the needs of the client. The overarching aim of each programme is to achieve a shift in culture so that all members of an organisation have a sound understanding of the various change management models available to them; know when and how to use a range of tools and techniques that improve systems and processes in a way that will improve performance and reduce costs; and apply appropriate behaviours at all levels of hierarchy that will enable change to occur continuously.

We strongly believe that any organisation is only as good as its people, which is why we offer an integrated portfolio of services which combines specialist consultancy support with learning that builds knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes. By giving people those technical skills, and more importantly creating an environment for them to apply those skills on a daily basis, you will not only dramatically enhance your current performance but also build the capability to adapt and respond to ever changing circumstances.
