Continuous Improvement Learning Programmes

The Police Service currently faces a considerable challenge: continue to make significant savings and improve quality of service to the public, whilst responding to new and emerging types of criminality.

To achieve higher performance, or respond to significant financial pressures, forces can find themselves in a cycle of never-ending change programmes, frequently envisioned by the few and then thrust on the many.

This can lead to ineffective initiatives that focus solely on reducing headcount and changing structures and procedures, whilst failing to instil appropriate behaviours, leadership style and culture.

A culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) offers a realistic and achievable means to drive increased organisational performance in a cost-efficient way, and enables it to be sustained over time. This requires a long-term strategic focus, strong leadership, top-down bottom-up engagement and clear communication at all times.

Services

We offer a range of CI Learning Programmes that support clients in creating a culture which celebrates and encourages open and honest problem solving through genuine employee and stakeholder engagement. This ensures our clients are equipped with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to undertake truly successful performance improvement. We offer three core programmes:
  • CI Senior Leaders Learning Programme

  • CI Change Managers Learning Programme

  • CI Practitioners Learning Programme

These solutions can be delivered independently, as a fully integrated suite of programmes, or tailored to meet client-specific needs. They provide delegates with a sound understanding of some key problem solving models, a range of tools and techniques to improve the performance and reduce the costs of systems and processes, and a crucial insight into the behaviours necessary to enable change to occur on an ongoing basis.
